March 2009 - Women’s day - debate : “Launching start-ups to make French Overseas go ahead” at French Overseas Ministry in Paris. “Mars 2009 - Journée de la femme | Un débat sur la création d’entreprise pour faire avancer les DOM A l’occasion de la Journée de la femme, un débat sur le thème « Femmes d’outre-mer et entrepreneuriat en France » sera organisé le mardi 10 mars 2009 de 18h à 20h sous le haut patronage de Patrick Karam, délégué interministériel pour l’Egalité des chances des Français d’outre-mer. Il aura lieu en salle Félix Éboué à la Délégation interministérielle - 27, rue Oudinot 75007 Paris.

September 2008 - “Voices of Black European Women vol 1″ - Black European Women Council On september 9th, 2008, Black european women decided to create a new network - Black European Women Council - supported by European Union, and multiple European non-profit organizations. As I said, this blog was created in memory of my ancesters who dared to cross overseas and overcome cultural barriers to raise a family. My only heritage is their strengh. The strengh to overcome themselves and gain respect. As founder-member, I wrote an article base on this strengh and raise solutions for issues black women face in Europe, more specifically in France.

July 2008 - 1st International black women conference - Kwakoe Festival - AWE Sandra Rafaela (WAD) and Hellen Felter (TIYE International) has decided to gather their energies to launch the 1st international black women conference, during the Kwakoe festival in Amsterdam Netherlands. We, Black Women living in Europe, has decided to found the basis of a pan-european network to promote the balck women across Europe in a positive way. Blackgril on Mars has published the minutes of the event on her blog. |

June 2008 - International Career Strategies - Corporate Council Women of Colour - CCWN Laurie Nicole Robinson, CEO of CCWN has invited to the International Career Strategies held in London. Hundred black women who came from all around Europe and USA gathered around 3 speakers : Debra Martin Chase, Adrianne Rose George, and me, Sandrine Joseph. We discussed how women to break through the concrete ceiling. Adrianne George discussed how the social network can help to find the expertise, the sisterhood to overcome difficulties, Debra Martin Chase delivered a testimnoy of her life as a entrepreneur in Hollywood, and I presented an argumentation related to women and leadership: how to break the concrete ceiling. |
